It was May of last year when Square Enix released Romancing SaGa 2 on mobile platforms, but rumors quickly swirled about an upcoming Vita release.

Well, today the company has announced Romancing SaGa is finally making its English debut on Sony's venerable handheld. Not only that, but on December 15th, Romaning SaGa 2 will also be available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Steam, and Windows 10.

The game may have updated visuals and audio since its 1993 release, but as you can see, it doesn't suffer from Final Fantasy V/VI re-release syndrome, and still features crisp sprite work, and weird, intricate monster designs right out of the 16-bit era.

This modern version also features new character classes, a new dungeon, and a New Game+ mode.
