Monster Hunter: World Gets New Trailer, Beta Details, and More
Thanks Paris Games Week!
10.30.17 - 10:14 PM

Earlier today at Paris Games Week, Capcom showed off a fresh new trailer for Monster Hunter: World, detailing a brand new area while also revealing a collaboration between Monster Hunter: World and Horizon Zero Dawn!

The video in question shows off the Rotten Vale area of the New World. Covered in the bones and carcasses of monster long since deceased, the Rotten Vale is a shocking and grotesque sight to behold. As players venture deeper into the Vale, the landscape itself becomes hostile, becoming coated in a toxic mist that hides untold danger. A hulking beast named the Radobaan can be found in the heart of the Rotten Vale, covered in the carcasses of its enemies. Hunters will have to be quick to remove these bodies, while also dodging the Radobaan's deadly attacks. You can check out the video below!

If you watched that video to the end, you probably caught a glimpse of the newest collaboration between Monster Hunter: Worlds and Horizon Zero Dawn! Available only on the PlayStation 4, players will be able to undertake a special Horizon Zero Dawn collaboration quest shortly after launch, which will be distributed online. Through this quest, players will be able to acquire materials which will allow them to craft, among other things, special Horizon Zero Dawn themed Pelico armor, a replica of Aloy's bow, and Aloy's armor, which, when worn, will turn the player character into Aloy herself! More details on this special quest are soon to be announced.

And finally, we have some official details on the Monster Hunter: Worlds beta. Starting on December 9th, PlayStation Plus members will be able to take their first steps into the New World and embark on three harrowing quests. Running for three days, the beta will allow players to test their mettle against fearsome enemies, like the Great Jagras, who can swallow enemies whole, or the territorial Anjanath, both roaming the dense and complex Ancient Forest. And if these two baddies aren't enough for you, take a trip to the Wildspire Waste, but be warned, as the heavily armored Barroth can be found lurking in muddy waters!
