Dragon's Crown Pro Delayed Two Weeks in Japan
But there is a first print digital gamebook now!
10.24.17 - 11:26 AM

A dark cloud has fallen on the video game world, as Atlus has delayed Dragon's Crown Pro from its original release date of January 25th to February 8th.

I of course kid, as delays rarely hurt a game, and a two week schedule shuffle is far from the season skipping of certain release dates. I just love Vanillaware games so any delay seems seismic.

Dragon's Crown Pro

Dragon's Crown Pro is a PlayStation 4 port of the Vanillaware action RPG (think RPG beat-em-up) Dragon's Crown, featuring a set of new features like 4k resolution support, a new fully orchestrated recording of the soundtrack, both the English and Japanese voice acting, and (brilliantly) cross-play and save data importing with the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita versions of the game.

Dragons Crown Pro

The most interesting tidbit revealed by the delay is that the first print run of Dragon's Crown Pro will include the digital game book 'Treasure of Demon Island.' In this new adventure, players will get to choose their favorite adventurer from the main game and take a chance at obtaining the treasures within the island. In order to survive and conquer this new unknown, players must rely on courage, determination, and fortune. So that is indeed a new thing!

The only question now is if I'll have to import, or wait for a localized version.
