Game Freak and Nintendo have at long last unveiled some new information about Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. The games, which launch this November for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, will once again take place in the Alola region, with a new story that focuses on the Pokémon Necrozma. New buildings and locations have been added to the Alola region as dark clouds loom on the horizon, and new secrets about the region's Legendary Pokémon will be revealed.

New character customization options for the player's avatar are being added, serving to further personalize your trainer's journey. Z-moves will be making a return, with the new Z-Power Ring serving as an upgrade to the Z-ring that will further expand your arsenal. One new Z-move that has been announced is one for Kommo-o, which you can see in action below.

You can find a bevy of new screenshots and artwork for Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon in our updated gallery. Stay tuned for more information.

While we're on the subject of Pokémon, however, Nintendo and Game Freak are offering a special distribution for vanilla Sun and Moon at participating retailers. Visiting your local Gamestop in the US (GAME in the UK, and at other participating retailers elsewhere) will net you the powerful Poison/Fire type Salazzle, which holds a Focus Sash and knows Fake Out, Toxic, Sludge Bomb, and Flamethrower. This special Salazzle will be available until September 4th. You can check out a brief announcement trailer from the official Pokémon YouTube channel below.
