Square Enix has confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is on track to meet its target sales projections. After moving over two million units at launch across the PS4 and 3DS versions, sales have remained strong, with the PS4 version moving an additional 200,798 units during the week of 7/31 to 8/6.

While the 3DS version remains ahead in physical sales, Square Enix announced that both versions of Dragon Quest XI have sold a combined three million copies and that the PS4 version has higher overall sales, reflecting the popularity of the PS4 version on the digital marketplace.

Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is coming to the Nintendo Switch at some point as well; hopefully we learn more at Tokyo Game Show next month. The game is coming to North America and Europe in 2018.
