This one may hurt a little, if you've been wishing for Dragon Quest X to release in English: As part of its Dragon Quest Summer Festival, Square Enix just revealed the game's fourth expansion is coming later this year.

Titled Dragon Quest X: 5,000 Year Journey to a Faraway Hometown Online, this expansion was revealed with this shiny and colorful and always-classic-Toriyama-art-filled trailer:

Because Dragon Quest X is now 5 years old, and because MMORPGs keep things fresh by introducing special events, an anniversary event is coming to the game, tasking players with battling The Great Demon King Zoma:

Square Enix is currently accepting pre-orders in Japan, and is even offering a small 500 yen discount on this expansion for players who already bought the collection that contained the first three.

Dragon Quest X: 5,000 Year Journey to a Faraway Hometown Online will release November 16th, and will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Wii U (yep), and Nintendo Switch. Now let's keep hoping it may come here one day, shall we?
