Square Enix has launched the official website for Dragon Quest: Monsters: Joker 3 Professional. The site delves into a few of the game's new features including additional monsters, the Ride System, new maps and faster gameplay speeds.
There will be over 700 monsters in this game, about 200 more than the original Joker 3. Monster riding has received an overhaul from the previous game, you will now be able to use any ride any monster regardless of area, whereas in Joker 3 you had to use a monster living in a corresponding environment to ride it there (i.e. water monster to traverse aquatic environments). In addition, Professional allows you to ride giant monsters and attack with them, using their size and strength to crush weaker monsters in fields.
Professional has added new areas that are exclusive to powerful players, with new adventures to be had in these areas. Nochorin, who lives with Nochora Clan in the Break World will be the player's partner in these new areas providing help in the field and in battle.
New features to speed up gameplay have also been added including story shortcuts allowing you to advance the story to specific scenes (presumably after beating the game), increased field movement speed and Wi-Fi speed battles.
Lastly, Square Enix confirmed that Professional is the final entry in the Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker series.
