Info on the game is going to ratchet up soon.

In an interview with Dengeki Playstation, famed developer Tetsuya Nomura spoke a bit about what could be the most anticipated remake ever: Final Fantasy VII Remake. He talked a little about the battle system, saying that it's "vastly different" from the original, and will be very rich in action. But for those fans of the more strategic Final Fantasy games of yore, Nomura also said that the battle system can be enjoyed by traditional fans of the series. It sounds tough to balance a battle system that can be enjoyed by fans of contemporary, flashy games, as well as older, more modest RPGs, but Nomura and his team are trying their hardest. Here's hoping they can pull it off!

Nomura doesn't want to give away too much information on the game right now, because there's an abundance of games on the horizon that would take the spotlight away from Final Fantasy VII Remake, but he did mention that he wanted to do something special for the original's 20th anniversary in 2017, so we should expect much more then.

Final Fantasy VII Remake will be available for the PS4. A release date is still unknown, but we'll update when more details are available!
