Bethesda Softworks has announced that mod support is coming to the PlayStation 4 versions of both Fallout 4 and The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim. This coming on the heels of Bethesda claiming last month that Sony would not allow them to establish mod support the way Bethesda wanted: "where users can do anything they want."

Skyrim 4K

The change is most good for PlayStation gamers, with mod support coming to Skyrim first, allowing users to modify and create content using Bethesda's Creation Kit. Users will not be able to upload external assets, but creators will be able to use any assets that come with the game. By creating a Bethesda.net account, users will be able to browse and try mods from within the game.

Skyrim 4K

In non-mod related news, both Fallout 4 and Skyrim will support PlayStation 4 Pro. Skyrim will render at native 4K on the premium PS4 right out of the box, while Fallout 4 will render at 4K along with enhanced lighting and graphics feature. Both the PS4 Pro and mod support for Fallout will come once work on Skyrim has finished.

Oh, and the images in this article are 4k Skyrim screenshots.
