Game delayed slightly because of inclement Noctis.

Square Enix announced at this year's Tokyo Game Show that Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue will be releasing for the PlayStation 4 on January 12th, 2017 in Japan, and January 24th in North America. The game will be missing it's previous December 2016 release window, presumably due to the delay of another high profile Square Enix RPG. Square also released a brand-new trailer and box art for the title, which... does it seem like Nomura is trying to tell us something with those character poses? Check out the artwork and video below.
There's actually quite a lot to unpack in that trailer from a story perspective, which makes sense given that a lot of Kingdom Hearts 2.8 is new content, elaborating on both the Keyblade War and Aqua's predicament in the aftermath of Birth by Sleep.
