The Director speaks up.

Fans of the long-running and esoteric SaGa series received bittersweet news this year when developer Square Enix announced that Romancing SaGa 2 would be released in English on Android/iOs devices this spring, but its coveted Vita edition would remain exclusive to Japan.
However, hot on the heels of the game's mobile release on May 26th, series director Akitoshi Kawazu took to Twitter to make a surprise announcement:
For PSVita, we're working now. I want your patience, please.
Kawazu's statement is highly unusual, especially because it's directly counter to Square Enix's line on the Vita release no less than two months ago. The publisher have yet to comment on the matter in an official capacity, but at the very least, Kawazu has demonstrated an enthusiasm for the series' Western fans.
Romancing SaGa 2 is available now for Android/iOS, priced at $17.99.
