Square Enix has released new information about Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness in their fifth broadcast program. The broadcast includes details about the difference between the PS4 and PS3 versions of the game, as well as the final trailer before it's March 31st release. While the PS3 version will only come out in Japan, here are the specs for anyone who is interested:

  • Game Contents: The same across both platforms.

  • Cross-Save: Not supported.

  • Feature Differences: Share features and PS Vita Remote Play supported on PlayStation 4. Not supported on PlayStation 3.

  • Frame Rate: 60fps (some parts vary) on PlayStation 4. 30 fps (some parts vary) on PlayStation 3.

  • Resolution: 1080p on PlayStation 4. 720p on PlayStation 3.

  • Graphics: PS4: finer physics processing, characters, backgrounds, effects, and such, and objects and monsters at a distance are displayed on-screen. PS3: some expressions are reduced and simplified, and objects and monsters at a distance are not displayed on-screen.

Perhaps of more interest to Western gamers is the trailer, which finally shows the party leaving the planet Faycreed and traveling the ocean of stars. Several new characters who appear to be villains also make their debut.

You can catch the full stream below to see more footage of the Starship De Gaulle (as in, Charles De Gaulle) and the rest of Victor's special forces unit. Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness comes out in Japan on March 31 on PS3 and PS4, and later this year in the West on PS4.

Finally, there two segments of the stream below show off two Star Ocean-styled PlayStation themes.
