Paper Mario: Color Splash Unveiled for Wii U
Looks like Paper Mario is a big fan of Splatoon.

During the most recent Nintendo Direct, the rumors were confirmed and Paper Mario: Color Splash was officially announced for the Wii U. The game takes place on Prism Island which has been getting the color stolen away from it (sounds like the story of Kirby and the Rainbow Curse). Mario, armed with his new paint hammer, is tasked with thwacking the color back into the world. You can paint special skill cards in battle to perform techniques like a paint filled smack or some kind of massive fan attack. The paint effect looks a lot like the ink in Splatoon and it would be awesome to see a Splatoon-themed town or dungeon in this new title. Paper Mario: Color Splash will be available sometime in 2016.
