At the 19th annual DICE Awards, RPGs stole the show. 2015 gave birth to two immensely popular and impressive RPGs: Fallout 4 and The Witcher 3. Both of these games were recognized by the purveyor of the DICE Awards, The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences. Fallout 4 earned the grand prize of Game of the Year. Here are the rest of the RPG winners:

  • Game of the Year: Fallout 4

  • Outstanding Achievement in Story: The Witcher 3

  • Outstanding Technical Achievement: The Witcher 3

  • Role-Playing / Massively Multiplayer Game of the Year: Fallout 4

  • Outstanding Achievement in Game Design: The Witcher 3

  • Outstanding Achievement in Game Direction: Fallout 4

Fallout 4 DICE Game of the Year

Three awards each for two amazing games. The Witcher earned high marks for its uncannily personal narrative set in such a massive world, but Bethesda's long awaited sequel nailed it by providing that unique Fallout gameplay that fans were craving. If you missed either of these games last year, (and you have a few hundred hours to kill) you owe it to yourself to pick them up.
