HEX: Shards of Fate Developer Visit Preview
In which we discover that "MMOTCG" is a real thing.
01.24.16 - 12:47 PM

This week, I headed out to southern CA to visit Hex Entertainment, developers of HEX: Shards of Fate. The game is an MMOTCG (Trading Card Game, in case that acronym isn't one you know), and I came away from my visit really interested in playing it.

HEX has been live, but in beta, for a while now. Monday night (1/25), however, a patch is coming out that officially removes the beta tag, replaces the tutorial, and most importantly, adds a huge PvE campaign.

As I mention in my preview, I have tried TCGs in the past, but hadn't found one that really pulled me in and kept me playing. I think HEX may be the one, though!

Check out my full preview at the link below, as well as our new gallery of screenshots and artwork. And if I can get my new gaming PC working this week, I'll be streaming it next week on our Sunday streaming session.

Editor's note: as of the original publication, the patch date was unknown and was listed only as "this week." Article was updated with the official date after it was announced Monday morning.
