Ganondorf's amiibo does something pretty hysterical, not gonna lie.

Following rumors and unconfirmed reports about what, exactly, the new Wolf Link amiibo (and other Zelda-themed amiibo) would do in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD, we can now lay our fears to rest, as Nintendo has released a brand-new trailer that explains it all.

The Wolf Link figure (packaged with the game) will give access to a new area called the Cave of Shadows. From the look of things, it's basically a Cave of Ordeals for Wolf Link, with many floors containing waves of increasingly stronger enemies. Data from the Wolf Link amiibo will also have some effect on the upcoming Zelda title for Wii U. It's what the other amiibo do that's really interesting. Link and Toon Link will fully replenish your arrows, Zelda and Shiek will fully heal you, and Ganondorf... well, Ganondorf makes it so that Link takes double the damage from enemy attacks. Makes sense! Check the trailer out below.

Additionally, Nintendo just posted a brand-new Nintendo Minute which includes a longer look at the game's enhancements. We'll keep you posted if we learn anything more about The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD.
