Train your body and mind, for Jade Empire: Special Edition is currently free on Origin. The 2005 classic Bioware RPG with, in my opinion, some of the best combat mechanics in the genre is "digitally available" for an undisclosed amount of time. That means you better go get it now, before it's gone... I mean, before it's available at full cost again.
Jade Empire: Special Edition gives you the same game with the following additions:
- New monsters/enemies with improved combat AI and difficulty levels.
- New fighting styles.
- Customizable controls including support for game pads and keyboard/mouse.
- Increased graphics resolutions and new visual effects.
- New world map interface.
Of course, the downside is that it requires you to download and use Origin. If that can be overlooked, then head over and grab your copy. Last year, I got Dragon Age: Origins the same way, so I hope other RPG's come available through this service as well. If you never played Jade Empire, then check out our 10 year old review and gallery of the XBox version. Better late than never, right?
