The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is a masterpiece. A game's quality does not always translate into massive sales but this time, CD Projekt Red's hard work has paid off. According to Studio Head, Adam Badowski, the game sold six million copies in six weeks.

Take a look at an excerpt from an open letter to fans from Badowski.

"Yes, six million copies is a great achievement for a company making RPGs, but this business is not only about that. If our games are a gallery of sound, picture and text – you are the visitors of this gallery. To an artist, there's no sweeter sight than people enjoying their work. That's why, in the name of all the devs in the studio, I'd like to say thanks to each and every one of you."

In true CD Projekt Red fashion, Badowski is not boasting about all the cash they are raking in but he is genuinely appreciative of all the fans. CD Projekt Red is not taking it easy now that they have a hit on their hands. The studio's Community Coordinator took to their official forums to tease some info on the first expansion, Heart of Stone.

"Soon enough we'll start spilling the beans regarding some HoS details. Stay tuned. The plot is going to be great with some excellent twists."

Achievement / Trophy support was also confirmed for the expansion.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The first expansion, Heart of Stone, will release sometime in October 2015 and cost $9.99 US.
