Lab Zero Games, developer of the fighting game Skullgirls, has announced they are making Indivisible, an action-RPG. Inspired by Valkyrie Profile and Super Metroid, Indivisible will feature the developer’s trademark 2D hand-drawn animation.

"Starring Ajna, a girl who sets out on a globe-spanning journey to discover the truth behind her mysterious powers. On her quest she’ll be joined by a variety of unique heroes and gain new abilities to traverse the environments and defeat the enemies they'll encounter along the way."

The game promises to have a "deep story" drawing homage from Southeast Asian and other world mythologies and will feature a soundtrack from Secret of Mana composer Hiroki Kikuta.

Lab Zero Games is aiming to have a playable build of the game to coincide with a crowdfunding effort on IndieGogo this September. They are planning to release Indivisible in 2017.
