Nintendo recently revealed that gay relationships would be available in the upcoming Fire Emblem: Fates. In one the versions, Birthright, if the player has a female avatar, they will have the option to marry the female Shara. In the another version, Conquest, players will be able to marry the male character Zero with a male avatar. Both of these characters will have also have the option to marry someone from the opposite sex. They will both also be in the DLC released after the game.

Zero pops into the story as a somewhat reformed thief, though not necessarily a good guy. It is rumored that he enjoys watching people suffer and is a sadist. Maybe love will change his wicked ways? Check out his courtship video below.

Shara joins the game as the child of Tsukuyomi, who will join up with the player's group in Chapter 8 of Birthright. It is rumored that Shara is very blunt and will be pretty much attached to the hip of anyone that she feel may be a good match for her.

Fire Emblem: Fates was just released in Japan and is scheduled for release in the U.S. and Europe on an unknown date in 2016.
