Is the impending (April 7th) release of Etrian Mystery Dungeon not enough to sate your need for Atlus' long-running series? Good news! Altus has just announced they're officially bringing Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight to North America this summer.

Like the first Etrian Odyssey Untold, this 3DS sequel is an updated remake of Etrian Odyssey 2: Heroes of Lagaard (released on the original DS). Along with the new dungeon layouts, graphics, and system improvements to Classic Mode that the first Untold release saw, the "Untold" additions involve a new Story Mode complete with cutscenes, focused on the Fafnir Knight, Princess Arianna, Flavio, and adventurers Bertrand and Chloe.

The Fafnir Knight itself is a class that's an all-new addition to the Etrian series, with the ability to transform into a demon form with enhanced powers. The Fafnir Knight will only be available in the "Untold" portion, aka Story Mode.

Check out the announcement trailer now, and our all-new gallery for the first English screen shots!

Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight will be available this summer for Nintendo 3DS both in stores and in the Nintendo eShop for $49.99 USD.
