Different Special Moves Come With Weapon Types in Bravely Second
Magnolia has an axe (or sword or bow) to grind.

With a new adventure, different areas to explore, new and returning characters, as well as a bevy of new jobs, you might think that Bravely Second couldn't possibly fit anything else in its tiny game cartridge. Well, you'd be wrong. In this week's issue of Jump magazine, another little addition was unveiled: special moves will accompany the different weapons in the game.

In the issue (which also provided a neat summary of characters and relationships), it was announced that different special moves will vary according to weapon types and that up to four special moves can be attached to one weapon, similar to Bravely Default. In the magazine, there is a picture of special move called "Megaton Swing" being used by Magnolia equipped with an axe. Not only are these special moves likely to do more damage than normal attacks, but they will provide the character with special buffs.

Bravely Second: End Layer will be released in Japan for the Nintendo 3DS on April 13th, 2015. A Western release date has not yet been announced.
