I guess the takeaway from this is that anything is possible, right?

Minecraft and the assorted works of Telltale Games are both things that probably need no introduction, but I'd imagine that the idea of the two ever collaborating would seem a little far-fetched. Well, it turns out that Minecraft: Story Mode — A Telltale Games Series is officially in the works, and will debut in 2015.

Developer Mojang and members of the Minecraft community will be contributing to Telltale's own original take on the Minecraft world. Like their previous games, Minecraft: Story Mode will be an episodic, narrative-driven experience, while remaining separate from the core Minecraft game. It will be available on PlayStation and Xbox home consoles, PC, Mac, and mobile devices.

Kevin Bruner, the president of Telltale Games, had this to say:

"Partnering with Mojang is a dream come true for us as game makers and as storytellers... Minecraft is a world of infinite possibility and imagination. Working with the Mojang team on our own unique, story-driven interpretation of their fascinating universe is a tremendous honor. We simply cannot wait for fans across the world to take off with us on this new adventure."
