Brand New Final Fantasy XV Tech Demo and Details Emerge
Wow.

There's massive and then there's MASSIVE. Square Enix just released a new video showing off the giant world environments of Final Fantasy XV. Really, I can't do it much justice here, so just watch the video below. The good stuff starts around the 33 minute mark (and keep in mind the video is in Japanese).

There's a lot to take in with this demo, and thankfully some English translations bring new information to light. There's going to be a lot of environmental interactions in the game, with Noctis and his crew able to fish in the streams and even eat at local gas stations (yay diner food!). Enemies are engaged in real time and will attack if you get to close. You can see the day/night cycle in the video, and apparently this will have an impact on the monsters you'll find roaming around. The world map is quite huge, making a car almost a necessity to get around quickly. Chocobos are clearly visible towards the end of the video, but that's about all we know at this point. Square Enix is also working hard to make sure the game pushes the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to the very limit.

You'll get your first chance to play Final Fantasy XV when the demo shipping with Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is made available.
