I know this sounds like spam, but hear me out!

Electronic Arts is currently giving away copies of the Windows PC version of Dragon Age: Origins. The promo is connected to Origin's "On the House" deal, which they're hoping will get more players to use their service. With that in mind, in order to take advantage of the free game, players will of course need an Origin account. This involves downloading the Origin program, which is similar to Steam. While this program itself may not be as stream-lined as other alternatives, EA is hoping the promise of a free title and the hype of the upcoming Dragon Age: Inquisition will be enough to get players to give things a shot.

To begin the process to get your free copy, simply visit their website here. If you plan on taking advantage of the offer, be sure you do so before October 14th, as this deal won't be available after that.
