08.01.14 - 2:18 AM

Bandai Namco recently showcased Tales of Zestiria during a live streaming event on Nico Nico Douga. So far, only a few video snippets are available via YouTube, and we've included them below.

The first video showcases the transitions between field exploration and enemy encounters. While only the lead character and single enemy are shown, in this case Sorey and what appears to be a wolf-like creature, your other party members will appear upon the battle beginning. Following suit, the lone monster is also joined by additional backup. We're also treated to several examples of the Fusion feature, as it is used in both the first and second battle.

As the video continues, we're introduced to one of the map elements that players will need a Heavenly Tribe member to interact with. In this case a "???" appears above Sorey's head, indicating that additional actions will be available in the future.

Finally, Sorey is seen engaging in some light dialogue while on the map field.

Character interaction were showcased at the live event as well. Both Mikleo and Lailah were focused on during the video, which helps to highlight their relationships and attitudes accordingly.

As far as additional details were concerned, Bandai Namco Games America also confirmed that the recently announced English names, featured here were all correct, with one slight change; Arisha has been updated to Alisha.

Tales of Zestiria is still in development for the PlayStation 3 and will be launching in Japan, North America, and Europe. Currently, pre-orders are already available via Play-Asia here for the Japanese release.
