Dragon Quest II Announced For Smartphones In Japan

Square Enix have announced that they will be releasing Dragon Quest II on Android and iOS on June 26th in Japan. The story follows the prince of Midenhall, who must stop an evil wizard named Hargon after he destroys Moonbrooke Castle.
It will be identical (graphics and all) to the Super Nintendo release, but feature updated controls for the new platforms. The game will be available for purchase via the Dragon Quest Portal App for 500 yen.
Square Enix have expressed that they hope to release Dragon Quests I - VIII on mobile platforms, but seem to be doing it out of order. No announcement has been made for a release overseas.
