Famitsu recently got their hands on Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth on 3DS. In their latest magazine release, they reported a number of new interesting details about the spin-off dungeon-crawler.

The game starts out with a school festival and a cheery tone, and there will be three separate save slots (plus 16 more if you use an SD card). However, the overall story is far more serious with a Persona vibe. Combat is difficult, and forgetting to buff or debuff may result in a character taking a one-hit knock-out.

As you may remember, Persona Q features a mapping system very similar to Etrian Odyssey. As you manually map it and travel around a dungeon, a percentage will be displayed showing how much you've discovered. Once it reaches 100%, a secret treasure chest will appear.

New information about StreetPass functionality has been revealed too. After picking a particular persona from your collection, you'll be able to send it to other players who pass you by. In return, the persona they have set will be added to your compendium for future summoning.

In addition, you'll be able to sacrifice one persona to empower another - a little different to the regular fusion technique. Of course, the normal way of combing personas to create new ones is still an important part of the game.

Finally, we have two new videos. The first is a brand new trailer showcasing many aspects of the game, and the second displays an all-out attack. Check them out below:

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth will be out in June 5th in Japan, and sometime during Fall in North America.
