You might remember that back in 2010, a new (yes, new) Sega Genesis game called Pier Solar was released by independent studio Watermelon. An HD upgrade of the title is currently in development for PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Android, Ouya and even the good old Sega Dreamcast.
On speaking with Nintendo Enthusiast, Watermelon president Tulio Goncalves mentioned features exclusive to Wii U and the possibility of a port to 3DS. "On Wii U, we're definitely putting the second screen to good use, a feature that will be exclusive of that platform," he said. "Well, maybe not for long if we end up making it to the 3DS, but that’s for later."
