Regardless, it's still going to be insanely pretty.

Yasumi Matusuno, the creator of Vagrant Story, is working on an ambitious new game called Unsung Story: Tale of the Guardians. Announced during the Tokyo Game Show in 2013, one of the selling points of this upcoming tactics game is that it offers cross-platform online multiplayer. The game is currently slated to launch on iOS and Android, but Playdek is hoping to be able to release on other platforms as well, depending upon their cross-platforms policies and capabilities.

Playdek's CEO Joel Goodman, in an interview with Joystiq, neither confirmed nor denied that this would definitely limit the number of platforms that Unsung Story could potentially release on.

Also worth noting, while Unsung Story is going to be episodic, the episodes each feature their own main characters and stories and can be played in any order.

Unfortunately, the final version of the game won't be finished until sometime in 2015 at the earliest, but it's still definitely something to keep an eye out for as the development progresses.
