Starting January 14th, it might just be worth signing up for a Pokémon Global Link account if you haven't already. From that date, a new Balloon Popping mini-game will be available where you can earn various items necessary to evolve some Pokémon in X & Y. The more medals you have on Global Link, the more levels you can unlock. Each play requires spending Poké Miles earned through walking and trading in Kalos.
Just as interesting is your chance to claim a Discount Coupon. This item can only be used in-game once, but gives you a 50% discount on all clothing items bought in that transaction. It can be bought from the online PokéMileage Club on Global Link. I recommend saving it for the horrendously expensive store in Lumiose City. This coupon can't be normally obtained, and you only have until March 3rd this year to get one!
