InXile Brings Back Wasteland
That would be the first Wasteland, not the Kickstarted sequel.
11.13.13 - 7:05 PM

You might recall that InXile Entertainment last year funded a successful Kickstarter campaign for Wasteland 2, a sequel to the 1988 computer RPG. The original Wasteland is often called the 'original' post-apocalyptic RPG, and cited for inspiration for titles such as Bethesda's Fallout series.

While fans await the sequel, InXile today re-released the original Wasteland as Wasteland 1 - The Original Classic on Steam and GOG.com, although it was released to Wasteland 2 backers last Friday. This updated version can be run at higher resolutions than the original, as well as better save functionality, a new track from Wasteland 2 composer Mark Morgan, texts from the original paragraph book and manual added into the game, and optional additions like some voice-over work and upscaling the game for those higher resolutions.

Wasteland 1 - The Original Classic is available for $5.99 US for PC and Mac.
