Blackguards Now Available Via Steam Early Access
Good news for The Dark Eye fans.
11.06.13 - 4:23 PM

Our readers know we're fairly fond of Daedalic's point-and-click adventures like Deponia and The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav. The studio's first proper RPG, Blackguards has hit Steam today as an Early Access title for $24.99, though it's currently on sale for $22.49, 10% off.

The Daedalic team is still looking for input before release. From the game's page:

Blackguards is now available on Early Access. The team is incredibly proud, since now we can present the fruit of two and a half years of intensive hard work. We've created a game we really like ourselves and want to play: a turn-based strategy game with many RPG elements and an intense, gritty story.

Your feedback is important to us. What do you think about the game? What still bothers you? What aspects do you think are really cool? Where does the game need polishing or balancing? And why do you like it so much?

Share your thoughts on the forums and we'll try to reply as fast as possible what we can implement. We are, however, already in the beta phase and that means we can't go all out in regards of new features.

In any case, check out the FAQs on the forum. We also have a 'Known Issues' and 'Solved Problems' list we will be constantly updating.

We are still working on performance optimization so we’ll release chapter by chapter the moment we’re done with that. Of course the first chapter is already finished.

Set in the same The Dark Eye world as Chains of Satinav, Blackguards follows a band of thugs and ruffians rather than the standard group of do-gooders. To check out what Blackguards has going for it, check out the Steam page below.
