What does a remake on the same system as the original look like?

Recently, GUST enlisted Tecmo Koei to remake Atelier Rorona, the first title in their Arland trilogy. The remake is headed to both PlayStation 3 and Vita... and yes, we know, the original was a PS3 title as well. Though Atelier Totori and Atelier Meruru got Vita ports (and Plus added to their names), Rorona on the other hand is getting more of an overhaul.

New Atelier Rorona: Origin Story of the Alchemist of Arland will inherit Atelier Meruru Plus' battle system, extra battles, events, maps, bosses (such as one said to be the strongest in the series), new models, an 'Extra Time' feature accessible after you clear the game and, of course, bonuses for those with Totori and Meruru save files, like the way items can change.

So what does a PlayStation 3 port of a PlayStation 3 game look like? Check out our gallery below! Since this is also a Vita title, it will of course support cross-save. New Atelier Rorona goes on sale in Japan in November.
