Register SMTIV and Fire Emblem: Awakening For $30 of eShop Credit
It's a good time to have a 3DS and love RPGs.

If you're in North America and own Fire Emblem: Awakening and plan on picking up Shin Megami Tensei IV next week - or at all this summer, for that matter - you will want to register them with your Club Nintendo account. There's benefits to doing so anyway, but why these two in particular? Nintendo announced today that fans who register them will receive $30 credit for use in the eShop. And it won't matter whether you buy (or have bought) these 3DS titles at retail or digitally, Nintendo has instructions for both - and even for those who bought that pretty limited edition Fire Emblem: Awakening 3DS bundle.

The deadline to register and get your credit is August 31st, and you have until the end of this year to spend it in the eShop. What to get? Awakening has seen oodles of DLC since its release, and from the sounds of it, SMTIV will have some DLC of its own. Fire Emblem: Awakening, of course, released earlier this year, while SMTIV goes on sale both digitally and at retail a week from today. Early copies of the latter will come with a limited edition upgrade, whose unboxing video you can watch below.

Be sure to check back next week for a Shin Megami Tensei IV review; meanwhile, we have lots of new screens and art in our updated gallery below (along with a couple of other relevant links). This is an interesting pair of titles to choose, and we haven't heard much about the Wii U title Shin Megami Tensei x Fire Emblem for quite a while - will that change soon?
