In case finally getting access to System Shock 2 via GOG.com wasn't enough good classic gaming news for you this year, there's more: GOG has announced that the final three main entries in the long-running Wizardry series are now available.

Vying for your attention are Wizardry VI: Bane of the Cosmic Forge (1991), Wizardry VII: Crusaders of the Dark Savant (1993), and the final title, Wizardry 8 (2001). These three titles alone have garnered 16 accolades in the gaming world and landed on several "best of" lists. Wizardry VI earned "Best Role Playing Game" awards in 1991 from both Strategy Plus Magazine and Power Play. Computer Gaming World and Power Play both named Wizardry VII as the best RPG in 1992, and Wizardry 8 earned RPG of the Year status from Computer Gaming World, GameSpot, and RPGDot in 2001.

In other words, it's safe to say the games have been well-received.

Wizardry VI + VII are sold in a bundle that includes the original DOS version and the Wizardry Gold edition, for $5.99 USD. This pack also includes several goodies: A character sheet, magic word icon list, and soundtrack for Wizardry VI. Wizardry VII-specific goodies are a map and quick reference card. Two cluebooks and manuals round out the package.

Meanwhile, Wizardry 8 includes the game (surprise!), avatar, manual, and soundtrack for only $9.99.

All three games are available now via GOG.com.
