XSEED and Marvelous Online will be one big family.

Japanese developer and publisher MarvelousAQL Inc. saw its its Western subsidiaries re-branded with today's formation of Marvelous USA. This company, formerly XSEED JKS Inc., consists of XSEED Games as well as Marvelous Online. The latter, based in Irvine, CA, recently acquired Atlus Online from Index (Atlus and Atlus USA's parent company) and will be responsible for online mobile and social games, while XSEED, which started up in 2004, will continue to localize and publish console and PC titles out of Torrance, CA under the XSEED name.

XSEED's manager Ken Barry will continue in his role, while Tatsuya Nishioka will look after Marvelous Online's operations. XSEED president and CEO Shinichi Suzuki will resume these roles, but at Marvelous USA instead.
