Some of us (read: me) are still slowly playing through Atelier Ayesha, but Gust is hard at work on finishing the next title, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, in Japan. Tonight we have a bevy of new screens, and various details on several new characters, plus one returning.

We don't know what the most recent batch of characters to be detailed look like yet, but we know a tiny bit about each:

Reifar is a 32-year-old treasure hunter (not to be confused with a mere thief), and while he seems to believe all life is meaningless, is apparently a romantic. So that's something.

26-year-old Sleia is a historian, and uses a special (magical?) earring to wield her special abilities. Yes, really. She seemingly has a relationship with a mysterious someone.

Next is Auin, an engineer who battles with a hammer. This gentle-natured 20-year-old also happens to be Escha's older step brother.

The new character we DO have a visual on is Lucille Ernella, seen above. At 14, she's a year younger than our protagonist Escha, and studies medicine at the Center. You can see plenty of her in our updated gallery. As you'll see, she fights by throwing syringes, which I hope isn't how she heals your party.

Lastly on the characters front is the return of Wilbell von Erslied. Thanks to Gust revealing her age of 18, we now know that - barring some time travel adventures - Atelier Escha & Logy is set four years after Atelier Ayesha. In that time, Wilbell has been traveling the world, and made a pact with a wind spirit. To what end, we don't know yet. The first pic above is her new look, in comparison with her outfit in Atelier Ayesha. As you can see, she's still unmistakably Bell, but a bit more refined and grown up. Like Lucille, we have plenty of screen shots of Wilbell in our gallery.

Before you dig into that gallery though, you may want to give the game's opening movie a look:

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky (PS3) releases June 27th in Japan.
