Dusk no more?
04.05.13 - 2:35 AM

Formally unveiled last week, Gust's 15th Atelier title is coming to PS3 later this year. Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky features two protagonists, and is set in the same world as Atelier Ayesha, although we don't yet know how far in the future the new game is set. The overall tone of the title is meant to feel more 'supernatural' this time around as well.

The headlining feature of tonight's update is our new gallery with 35+ screens and character art, Gust has revealed a little more about the game as well. While taking place after the events of Ayesha, Atelier Escha & Logy is set in a yet-unnnamed nation west of the Land of Dusk. It's here, in a city named The Center, that people are heavily researching alchemy, believing that it can prevent a prophesied disaster, the "end of dusk."

Young Escha lives outside the city, and hailing from a family versed in alchemy will play a vital role in assisting The Center. Playing through the game as Escha is meant to have a traditional Atelier series feel, with an emphasis on 'everyday' events and a generally lighter tone.

Logix (aka Logy) is involved in a more official capacity, sent on assignment to The Center. With Logix as your protagonist, the game takes on a slightly more serious tone befitting of the character, and is meant to appeal a bit more to fans of traditional JRPGs.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky releases on June 27th in Japan.
