With Phase 1 of the Open Beta opening up in just a few short days, Square Enix has released the official benchmark application for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. The program runs through various Eorzean environments and gauges how well your PC will run the game on different settings. For those of you with inadequate hardware, or if you just want to see how the benchmark looks without downloading it, check out the following video:

Square Enix also shared another trailer, showing off a myriad of environments, many of which are being shown for the first time. This trailer has footage from both the PC and PS3 versions. The PS3 version is said to be running at 75% optimization, which means the quality should improve by the time Beta phase 3 arrives.

My benchmark score was a respectable 3813 on High settings. Download the client and let us know what your scores are in this thread on the forums. Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn releases on PC and PS3 in the first half of this year.
