BioWare Founders Announce Retirement
Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk say goodbye to the industry.
09.18.12 - 3:29 PM

BioWare announced today that its two founders, Ray Muzyka and Greg Zeschuk, are retiring today, after two decades with the company. You can read each of their blog posts for a lengthy entry on their decision and future plans (Ray's is here and Greg's here); both will be taking a departure from the video game industry altogether, possibly for good. The two began BioWare in 1995, creating many favourite RPG franchises along the way, operating in Edmonton, Montreal, Austin, and even as far away as Ireland.

If you, like many others, are wondering how this will affect the company's future and its franchises, general manager Aaryn Flynn has written a blog post of his own. Dragon Age III: Inquisition was announced just yesterday, Mass Effect 3 will see even more content - including a single-player DLC taking players back to Omega, and other titles are in the works as well.
