Lately, Obsidian Entertainment had been teasing a new project, and today, we saw its reveal... a Kickstarter project. Codenamed Project Eternity, Obsidian is promising an old-school style fantasy RPG in the vein of several classic Infinity Engine RPGs. Project Eternity hopes to bring the best of these worlds together under one title, including Baldur's Gate's exploration, the combat & dungeons of Icewind Dale and the writing and themes of Planescape: Torment.

Obsidian's Kickstarter goal is $1.1 million, but as of this writing they have already reached nearly $700,000... and it has a month left. The pledge incentives range between $5 and $10,000, but you need to pledge at least $20 to ensure yourself a copy of the game.

Project Eternity for PC is set for an April 2014 release.
