It turns out that The World Ends With You -solo Remix- and Final Fantasy Dimensions were far from the only iOS titles Square Enix had planned. Available as of earlier today is Drakerider, starring Aran Lawson and his dragon Eckhardt as they try to save the world of Igraine from destruction at the hands of the Dread. As the player you decide how much to control Eckhardt - loosen up his reins and he'll attack a foe, but if you don't keep him under control he might rebel. He will, over time, learn new attacks and abilities with CP and through a skill tree.
The first chapter of Drakerider is free, while chapters 2-5 cost $6.99 each, or you can buy the entire game in one go for $20.99. You'll find the iPhone/iPod Touch version here and the iPad version here. Watch the trailers for the paid chapters below.
