Fire Emblem: Awakening Gets DLC Maps
Ranging from easy, hard, to really hard.
08.07.12 - 7:12 PM

Nintendo's Fire Emblem: Awakening had plenty of character DLC not long after its Japanese release, but the second round of content is more focused on maps. Not only do the maps range in difficulty, but they'll have different conditions, such as all your units starting out with one HP each. (On that same map, you get to fight the undead. Fun!) On some maps you'll also get to pair up with characters that you don't get to in the main game. Others will be more story-connected.

The maps start to release on August 9th and will range from 200 to 250 yen. One of them, an easier map called Harvest Festival Bonds, is 100 yen (normally 200 yen) if you get it before September 30th.

The trailer for this round of DLC shows how the maps were created.

Fire Emblem: Awakening for Nintendo 3DS will reach North America and Europe sometime next year, and Nintendo has promised that the DLC will come our way as well.
