Bravely Default: Flying Fairy Random Tidbits
New classes, a fifth (!) demo, DLC and more!
08.07.12 - 6:39 PM

Earlier today Square Enix shared a few tidbits on its upcoming 3DS RPG Bravely Default: Flying Fairy on a Nico Nico Live broadcast. Among the bigger news was some fresh classes: Ninja, summoner and valkyrie, the last of which is a female-specific job. Should you tire of the summon animations, you can skip them.

You'll have a number of different ways in which you can restore your brave points. The monk class will get to use the Magic Sword ability... with his fists. Finally, your job level will determine how many hits you'll execute in an attack. The higher the level, the more the hits.

The first bits of DLC were also revealed recently. Buy the game and you'll get an equipment set for the main character Anies. Buy the soundtrack (out one day before the game itself in Japan) and you get a Suppin job outfit - it'll look like a suppin (freelancer) regardless of the job. Buy the theme song by Linked Horizon, and you get a 'noble composer' equipment for Ringabel. These can be downloaded before December 13th, but after that date anyone who's gotten past a certain point in the game can download these. Square has more outfits and equipment in the works.

The fifth demo (has any game ever had five demos?) doesn't yet have a date, but will likely be out soon. You can carry over your data from this demo into the final game, which hits Japanese shelves on October 11th.
