Don't play out in the sun for too long, you'll get a sunburn!

Bethesda released a trailer for Dawnguard, the highly anticipated add-on to last year's open-world cheese-hoarding simulation TESV: Skyrim. All we've seen of Dawnguard is a teaser image of Dovahkiin with glowing eyes... until now. The trailer features a similarly glowy-eyed, assumedly one of the vampires visible throughout, telling us of his plan to harvest the souls of the living, take the Elder Scrolls and blot out the sun – that is, if the Dawnguard don't stop him first.

In addition to the welcome return of Vampirism, the trailer shows off a variety of new locations, mounted combat, and for the first time since TES III: Morrowind, crossbows! This trailer is sure to get your blood pumping, so take a look for yourself:

You'll be able to sink your teeth into Dawnguard this summer on the Xbox 360 for 1600 Microsoft Space Bucks ($20 US). PS3 and PC details have not yet been announced, but you can expect to hear more info over the coming week at E3.
