RPGFan Soundtracks Update
Now with 100% more modernity!
04.19.12 - 12:33 AM

Good evening to everyone! I've lost count of the number of times I've said this recently, but I apologize for the long delay in the posting of this update! Rather than bore you with excuses, let's get right into the goodies!

For starters, beginning with the four reviews below, we have switched RPGFan Soundtracks over to a new format for audio samples. Rather than the old, somewhat obtuse Real Media files that that the section has used for many years, you'll find a nice and easy "play" button next to sampled tracks. You press the button, and you hear music. Brilliant! I hope this makes the experience a lot smoother for everyone-- and if you have any problems with the new system, feel free to drop me an email directly and I'll see if we can help you out!

Regarding the reviews themselves, this week features a gaggle of arranged albums for your consideration. The ever-reliable Patrick Gann hits a double with his reviews of the Piano Opera Final Fantasy I/II/III and CADENA ~Atelier Series Jazz Arrange> albums. Pat has answered nearly any question you could have about these two discs in his very detailed reviews, so be sure to check them out!

Guest contributor Brad Hayes-Raugh (responsible for our Dissidia 012 album review also delivers his sophomore effort with the Nier -echo- arrange album. This was a unique and rather excellent album, so be sure to check out his review!

Finally, Kyle E. Miller rounds out the bunch with his review of the highly sought-after The Legend of Zelda: 25th Anniversary Special Orchestra CD. Kyle and I both agreed that this was a fantastic album that is well worth hearing, so check out his review and listen to some samples!

As promised previously, we've got a large Mass Effect-centric update in the works for you, as well as tons of other good stuff. Be sure to check back this weekend as well, since we'll have another Soundtrack Spotlight ready to go for you!

And, as always, thank you for supporting RPGFan Soundtracks!
