Fire Emblem: Awakening Video, Details
Of DLC, classes and marriage.
04.11.12 - 1:44 PM

The first DLC for Nintendo's Fire Emblem: Awakening has already been announced: Marth, or at least a classic version of him, will be downloadable for 300 yen ($3.65 US). But if you get him before May 31st, he will be free. Once you clear a map, you'll get to add him to your party. Marth will be available on April 19th, the same day as the game's Japanese release.

Another feature from past Fire Emblem titles is also resurfacing. In Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu (Genealogy of Holy War for SFC), there was a marriage system for the first time. Since one of Awakening's major themes is love, the game will allow you to marry allies with many possibilities, even including your My Unit character. The proposals, of course, will have their own special graphics.

Below, an eight-minute look at all the game's classes. Many will be familiar to series fans, but some will be new, like a Taguel which morphs into some odd looking rabbit. Some of the promoted classes (second half of the video) are new too, like the trickster.

Because the game releases so soon, it was also reviewed in this week's Famitsu, receiving all 9s for a total score of 36/40. Fire Emblem: Awakening for the 3DS releases next Thursday in Japan, but has not yet been announced for North America.
