Mass Effect 3's Ending Gets An Extended Cut
Are you surprised?
04.05.12 - 2:12 PM

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard a Mass Effect fan.. or two.. or ten complain about Mass Effect 3's ending. For many it left much to be desired, while few took more extreme actions - like going to the Federal Trade Commission and sending BioWare cupcakes. Some of us just want to understand what exactly we'd watched in the game's last ten or fifteen minutes.

Like many had predicted, BioWare announced Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut, a DLC that will address the ending, will be made available this summer. This free content will not change the ending, rather it will provide clarification and let fans see how their 'personal journey' comes to an end. Though the Mass Effect team has been listening to fan feedback ever since ME3's release, they wish to keep the artistic vision intact while giving fans some answers.

A short FAQ on the Extended Cut can be found here. If you happen to be attending PAX East, you can visit BioWare at the show.
