This week's Dengeki PlayStation revealed Imageepoch's next title, which will also stand as the company's last PSP title, according to CEO Ryoji Mikage. Announced in the magazine was Sol Trigger, an RPG whose concept is based around the 'Sol' part of the title.

Rather than meaning 'soul,' the idea is that Sol is a special power held only by 'people of light.' If your HP reaches zero, you can still recover as long as you have Sol. If your Sol reaches zero, you'll go into a 'near-death' state and be transported to a home base where you can refill your Sol. Sol can also be used for skills and special attacks, the latter of which can actually kill you.

The first three characters to be introduced were Farrell, the long-haired sword-wielding main character. He holds the 'Golden Sol' and as such is a potential future leader of the Sol Triggers, a group who fights for these 'people of light.' 17-year old Emma has pink hair and is a childhood friend of Farrell. She carries a gun, but she can also heal you. Finally, the scythe-wielding Walter seeks to avenge a friend who was killed outside a church.

Sol Trigger's scenario is written by Kazushige Nojima and the character designs are taken care of by Suji Sogabe (Gods Eater, Persona 3 and 4 mangas). A release window wasn't given, but Imageepoch will soon be holding a webcast, so check back later for more details and hopefully media!
